Healthy brownies that fit most dietary restrictions. The chocolate taste is so rich you won’t notice the black beans, plus it has 3g of protein and fiber!
So I’m always looking for a healthy way to get my unhealthy fix. Yes, contradictory. I need baked goods that I can snack on or have for dessert, but not feel guilty that I’ve put a stick of butter into the whole batch. That doesn’t mean I’m trying to make fat-free baked goods, just reasonably balanced ones. So I was thrilled when I came across this vegan gluten-free black bean Brownie recipe. It’s the perfect recipe for someone who loves dark chocolate, as the cacao powder lends a richness to the recipe that helps to distract from the lower sugar content.
I’ve heard of black bean brownies before, but I’ve never made any. I knew it was high time for me to see if they’re all they’re cracked up to be. And it turns out they are. They’re on the dark chocolate, rich side, so if you prefer sweeter chocolate you’ll likely want to add more sugar to the batch, but I found it perfect. I got this recipe from the Minimalist Baker.
