This is one of my go to recipes, and my best friend’s favorite cookie recipe. Well, that’s slightly under contention. She has another chocolate crinkle cookie recipe that she got while at college, so this week we’re going to have a taste-test bake off between our recipes. If I remember I’ll update you all on the results.
These are very satisfying cookies. The powdered sugar on the outside gives adds a nice sweetness to the crispy exterior. However, the inside has an almost brownie like consistency. You can taste the combination of granulated sugar and cocoa powder, which has almost caramelized together.
Chocaholics will love this recipe. I prefer to make the cookies fairly small so that the recipe yields more cookies. And then you feel less guilty when you end up eating 3 or 4. So enjoy!
